Commercial Robbery - Brooklyn Park

On January 21, 2022, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to Charlie Wards located at 4607 4th Street in Brooklyn for an armed robbery. An unknown male suspect walked behind the counter, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the employee. The employee complied and the suspect then fled the business on foot. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720. On January 21, 2022, at 2:15 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a black Hyundai on Reece Road near Redbridge Road in Severn. During the stop, officers received information that led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a loaded, stolen 9mm Daewoo Precision Industries handgun, approximately 122.28 grams of suspected marijuana, and $4830.00 cash. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Shots Fired - Brooklyn Park

On January 22, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 11th Ave E and Victory Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a report of gunshots fired. Witnesses reported an operator of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck was firing gunshots at the occupant of another vehicle. Responding officers observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Brookwood Road near Southerly Road. The vehicle was stopped and the suspect was positively identified. The suspect was in possession of a stolen 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun. The victim was not struck by any of the fired projectiles and no damage was located in the area where the gunshots were fired. The suspect, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged accordingly.

Shots Fired - Glen Burnie

On January 22, 2022, 7:15 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Aventura and Century Towne Roads in Glen Burnie for a report of gunshots fired. The front door of a residence located in the 400 block of Fontana Court was struck by a bullet causing the glass to shatter. Officers located two vehicles that were struck by gunfire. Witnesses reported that a dark-colored vehicle approached the area and an occupant of the vehicle fired several gunshots at the residence. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. On January 24, 2022, at approximately 6:05 a.m. officers responded to a report of an armed subject in an apartment building in the 8300 block of Telegraph Road in Odenton. As officers arrived on the scene they observed a male matching the description given by the caller. Officers attempted to speak with the male, however, the male fled in a vehicle. Officers located the male and discovered that he is prohibited from possessing firearms. A 9mm Highpoint rifle was recovered. The male was arrested and charged accordingly.
