On January 19, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers responded for an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 4000 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. An unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a gun, and demanded money. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720. On January 19, 2022, at approximately 12:15 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a white Volkswagen Passat on Falcon Point Drive near Wood Thrush Way in Severn. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded .40 caliber Polymer 80 handgun and approximately 112 grams of suspected marijuana. The driver was found to be unlicensed, and the registration plate on the vehicle was fictitious. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

On January 18, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Infiniti on Carinoso Circle near Carinoso Way in Severn. During the stop, probable cause to search the vehicle was developed, resulting in the seizure of approximately 2300 grams of suspected marijuana (including packaging) and a loaded .40 caliber Glock 27 handgun. Both vehicle occupants were arrested and charged accordingly.

On January 18, 2022, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of damage at a residence located in the 1700 block of Meade Village Circle in Severn. The homeowner reported damage to a window and the siding caused by gunshots. Two projectiles penetrated the residence and entered walls within the home. The house was unoccupied when the shots were fired. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155.
