On November 30, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of Crainmont Drive and Montague Court for a robbery. A 20-year-old male, a 21-year-old male, and an unknown female were seated in a vehicle when two males armed with handguns approached and ordered them out of the vehicle and threatened to shoot them. One victim was able to run away while the second was thrown to the ground and assaulted, receiving minor injuries. The female ran as well and wasn’t able to be located. The suspects ransacked the vehicle and fled on foot with property belonging to the victims. Eastern District detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to call 410-222-6145. First Degree Assault (Shooting) / Attempted Robbery - Glen Burnie

On December 1, 2021, at approximately 3:40 a.m. officers responded to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center for an injured subject suffering from a gunshot wound. The 39-year-old victim was walking on Mayo Road near Old Stage Road when he was approached by a gray sedan occupied by a White or Hispanic male who demanded his property. When the victim refused, the suspect got out of the car and fired several gunshots at the victim, striking him one time in his lower torso. The suspect fled and the victim flagged down a vehicle for a ride to UM BWMC. Officers searched the area but could not find the suspect. On September 28, 2021, the Anne Arundel County Police Department was notified by school officials of allegations involving a sexual relationship between a student and an employee of Old Mill High School. The School Resource Officer and school officials interviewed the student as it was learned that the student was sexually assaulted by the staff member the day prior, 09/27/2021. Notification was made to the Board of Education and the staff member was banned from returning to Old Mill High School while the investigation was ongoing. 

The victim, a 16-year-old-female was later interviewed at the Anne Arundel County Child Advocacy Center. During the interview, the victim disclosed being sexually assaulted by the suspect who was identified as Fulgencio Salomon Jolon, a 30-year-old-male employee of Old Mill High School. 

The Anne Arundel County Child Abuse Unit along with members from the Department of Social Services coordinated further investigation to include obtaining evidence and conducting additional witness interviews. Upon the conclusion of this investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Jolon with three counts of 2nd-degree assault, 4th-degree sex offense, and 4th-degree sex offense involving a person of authority. Last evening, November 30, 2021, Jolon was taken into custody without incident.
