The Department of Aging and Disabilities Announces a Caregiver Educational Workshop for December

Annapolis, MD ( November 10, 2021) - The Department of Aging and Disabilities is pleased to announce an upcoming Caregiver Educational Workshop for December.

On December 9th at 6:30 pm, Jennifer FitzPatrick, MSW, LCSW-C, CSP, will present Reducing Stress, Sadness, and Other Difficult Feelings during the Holidays as a Caregiver.

Juggling caregiving with everyday life is challenging. During the holiday season it can be exhausting, especially when we’re expected to be joyful. Join us for this interactive presentation on how to reduce caregiving stress and other difficult feelings during the holidays.

This interactive workshop will include:
  • Identifying signs of caregiver burnout in yourself and what to do about it;
  • Managing challenging feelings during the holiday season when you are expected to be in a good mood;
  • Why seeking help with caregiving before the New Year is a good idea, and
  • What to look for as you spend time with older loved ones during the holiday season.

The workshop will be held at the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, 119 S. Villa Avenue, Annapolis. Register online at http://www.aacounty.org/aging or call 410-222-4375/4339.
As a reminder face masks are required to be worn in all county buildings.

This workshop is presented at no cost to the public by the National Family Caregiver Support Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.
