Annapolis, Md (September 9, 2021) The Anne Arundel County Council will conduct public interviews with the Board of Education District 1 candidates on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 6 p.m. in their Chambers located in Annapolis at 44 Calvert Street.

Under State law, the County Council “shall select a qualified individual to fill any vacancy in the office of an elected member of the county board for the remainder of the term and until a successor is elected and qualifies”. The District 1 seat was left vacant in July of 2021 and the County Council must select a qualified individual to fill this vacancy who will serve through December 1, 2024.
The meeting is open to the public. Note: Masks do need to be worn at all times inside the building.
