Family Caregiver Virtual Support Groups Offered

Annapolis, MD (August 13, 2021) - The Department of Aging and Disabilities virtual caregiver support groups for September will be held via the Zoom platform. Participants will be able to log in through a computer or listen by phone.

Virtual support groups will meet on September 8th (1:00-2:30 pm) and September 21st (1:00-2:30 pm). To receive the Zoom sign-in link, please email agchap01@aacounty.org or call 410-222-4339. We look forward to meeting in person soon. Until then, we hope the virtual format provides family caregivers with support and connection to one another. We realize this is a challenging time for everyone; especially caregivers and we hope all will join us.

Family caregivers, living in or caring for someone in Anne Arundel County are also invited to join our Facebook Support Group page. This is an opportunity for caregivers to connect with one another, share concerns and experiences and share laughs between meetings. For those who are unable to attend the day-time meetings due to work schedules or other commitments, this format provides you the opportunity to connect, share and support other caregivers. You can find the group on Facebook.com/ArundelSeniors.

Anyone needing accommodations must contact Mary Chaput at 410-222-4339, or by e-mail at agchap01@aacounty.org at least seven days in advance of the event. TTY users, please call via Maryland Relay 7-1-1. All materials are available in an alternative format upon request.
