On June 23, 2021 at approximately 9:19 p.m. Southern District officers responded to the 100 block of Mary Lou Drive in Lothian for a report of a bullet striking the windshield of a parked vehicle. Officers arrived and met with the victim who reported their vehicle was parked next to their residence, when it was struck with a bullet. Video surveillance showed a bullet strike the windshield of the vehicle at approximately 2:46 p.m. Evidence suggested that the way the vehicle was parked, the bullet was most likely shot up in the air and came straight down. A 9mm projectile was recovered. Southern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-1960 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

CDS Violation/Severn

On June 23, 2021 at approximately 10:21 a.m. a Western District Officer conducted a traffic stop on a gray Toyota Camry in the area of New Disney Road and Severn Tree Boulevard in Severn. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to approximately 50 grams of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia, and $1182.00 in US currency located inside of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged.
