Motor Vehicle Tampering; Auto Theft / Glen Burnie

On June 22, 2021 at approximately 12:10 a.m. a Northern District officer was on patrol in the area of the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway when he observed three suspects tampering with vehicles on a dealership parking lot. All three suspects fled upon seeing the officer.  The officer requested additional units to assist and all three suspects were apprehended.  One of the suspects was found to be in possession of keys belonging to a vehicle found near where the tampering occurred.  That vehicle, a silver Ford Explorer, had been stolen out of Baltimore County. All three suspects, who are juveniles, were taken into custody and later released to their parents.

On June 21, 2021 at approximately 12:20 p.m. Northern District officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Crosstour  in the area of Church Street and Phillips Street in Brooklyn Park. Upon making contact with the driver officers obtained information which led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of 96.69 grams of suspected Cocaine and 52.02 grams of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl, $2,307.00 in U.S. currency.  The driver was arrested and charged.

Southern District
Shooting / Harwood

On June 21, 2021 at approximately 5:33 p.m. Southern District officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Harwood Road in Harwood for a report of a shooting.  Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the lower torso.  Officers immediately provided medical aid to the victim.  The investigation revealed a fight possibly occurred before the victim was shot, however the victim would not provide any information about the suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
