On May 23, 2021 at approximately 10:20 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the area of Whitaker Road and New Freetown Road in Pasadena for a call of multiple gun shots heard at this location. While Officers were responding to the area, the victim drove themselves to an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to an upper extremity. Shell casings were found in the areas of Whitaker Road near Shirley Murphy Road. The victim advised while walking on Levi Court they sustained a gunshot wound. Northern District Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or remain anonymous by calling 410-222-4700. This is a very active and ongoing investigation.

Weapons Violation / Glen Burnie

On May 22, 2021 at approximately 7:09 p.m. Northern District Officers responded to the 1000 block of Londonderry Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of an armed subject. The investigation revealed two neighbors got into a verbal dispute over parking. During the argument, one neighbor went into his house, brought a box out and placed it on the trunk of his car. The neighbor/suspect then took a black, Apache 2800, Polymer 80, 9mm semi-auto handgun out of the box, loaded the weapon, and placed the gun on the trunk of his vehicle. The suspect then stated “You want some of this?”. The suspect never pointed the weapon at anyone, however others involved in the dispute felt threatened by the suspects actions. The gun was recovered and neighbor/suspect was arrested and charged.

Weapons - CDS Violation / Brooklyn Park

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 7:52 p.m. Northern District Officers observed a Honda Odyssey in the area of Church Street and Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park with a tinted front windshield. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Ritchie Highway near Hammonds Lane. An Officer made contact with the driver and observed suspected CDS marijuana in plain view. A search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in the recovery of the following:  

  • Black Springfield XD .40 caliber handgun loaded with 7 rounds of ammunition
  • Zip-lock baggie containing several pink plastic containers
  • Zip-lock baggie containing several clear gelatin capsules
  • Zip-lock baggie containing several yellow/black/clear/green/red plastic containers
  • Suspected CDS marijuana, 9.84 grams
  • 68 black plastic containers containing suspected CDS cocaine, 34.07 grams
  • 1 green pill suspected Oxycodone
  • 5 white pills suspected Oxycodone
  • Plastic cup with suspected CDS cocaine, 17.20 grams
  • $745.00 dollars in U.S. Currency

Attempt Robbery / Pasadena

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Northern District Officers responded to the area of McDonalds on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at Mountain Road in Pasadena for an unknown disturbance. Officers were flagged down by the victim who advised they were approached by four (4) suspects who assaulted her and attempted to take her purse. After a brief struggle, the suspects fled the area without the purse. The suspects were thought to have been last seen in the area of the 1200 block of Leonard Drive. Officers canvassed the area and located two (2) subjects matching the description of the suspects. The victim positively identified the two of the suspects and they were charged. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135.

Warrant/Handgun Violation/Glen Burnie

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 9:49 a.m. Northern District Officers responded to the Target Store located at 6717 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie at the request of Loss Prevention for repeat shoplifters observed in the store. The shoplifting suspect returned items he originally picked up just inside the store at the entrance. Officers made contact with the suspect who had had three open warrants. During the arrest it was discovered the suspect was in possession of a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm handgun. The suspect was arrested and charged for the handgun violation and served on the warrants.

Strong Arm Robbery / Odenton

On May 23, 2021 at approximately 9:01 p.m. Western District Officers responded to the 2400 block of Knapps Way in Odenton for an unknown disturbance. Upon officers’ arrival it was discovered that three (3) juvenile suspects demanded money from their Taxi driver at the end of their ride. The victim stated the suspects grabbed his money and ran off into the neighborhood. The suspects were located by officers in the area of Blue Water Boulevard and Almshouse Drive in Odenton. The victim identified the suspects and they were charged.

Attempted Robbery / Laurel

On May 22, 2021 at approximately 11:30 p.m. the victim approached a Western District officer to report an attempted robbery that occurred 15 minutes prior. The victim stated the suspect approached him as he was pumping gas at the Exxon located at 3384 Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The victim stated the suspect demanded money, and then sprayed him with suspected pepper spray. The suspect was last seen leaving in a white sedan, possibly a Nissan. Western District Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6155.

CDS Violation / Severn

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 8:08 p.m. Western District officers conducted a lawful traffic stop on a black BMW 320 in the area of the 8100 block of Hollow Oak Court in Severn. Officers smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed suspected marijuana in plain view. The suspects were arrested and charged. A search of the occupants and vehicle resulted in the recovery of the following: 

  • Marijuana packaged for distribution 
  • $2295.00 U.S. Currency
  • 82 clear glass vials of suspected cocaine (112.75 grams)
  • 1 tied off clear plastic bag with suspected cocaine (12.48 grams) 
  • 28 clear plastic capsules of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl (12.53 grams)
  • 4.19 grams of suspected marijuana

CDS Violation / Crofton
21-716240 

On May 21, 2021 at approximately 9:00 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on an Acura TL in the area of Riedel Road at Johns Hopkins Road in Crofton. Probable cause was developed and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers recovered approximately 370 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, and assorted CDS paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and charged.

Assault / Edgewater

On May 22, 2021 at approximately 8:54 p.m., Southern District Officers responded to the 800 block of Central Avenue East in Edgewater for a large fight at a wedding reception. A caller stated one subject had a knife and people were actively fighting. As Officers arrived on scene they were able to separate all parties and gather information. Through witness interviews Officers identified the subject who pulled a knife and he was placed under arrest. The knife was recovered at the scene and packaged as evidence. The suspect was arrested and charged.
