Western District

Handgun Violation / Severn

On May 19, 2021 at approximately 10:50 a.m. Western District officers conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Mustang in the area of Reece Road near Pioneer Drive in Severn that was not displaying a front tag. Officers made contact with the driver and developed probable cause to search the vehicle. As a result of the search a loaded .40 caliber Glock 27 handgun and numerous bags of suspected THC edibles were recovered. The suspect/driver was arrested and charged.

Northern District

Citizen Robbery / Glen Burnie

On May 19, 2021 at approximately 6:45 a.m. Northern District Officers responded to Whittman Drive in Glen Burnie to speak with the victim of a citizen robbery that occurred earlier. The incident occurred at Mary Lane and Oakwood Road approximately 30 minutes prior to the victim calling the police. The victim stated two white males approached him while he was walking home on Oakwood Road. The suspects demanded his property, and the victim gave them a cell phone and a vape device. The suspects then chased the victim out of the area as they hit him on the back of the head. Officers responded to the scene and searched the area, however they could not locate the suspects. Northern District Detectives are investigating this case and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135.

Northern District

Handgun Violation/Warrant/Brooklyn Park

On May 19, 2021 at approximately 8:09 p.m. Northern District Officers observed the driver of a grey Nissan in the area of Church Street and RItchie Highway Brooklyn Park, MD not wearing a seatbelt. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Brookwood Road near Alley 27. An Officer made contact with the driver and observed several suspected CDS marijuana cigarettes in the vehicle in plain view and smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a silver Metro Arms .45 caliber handgun. The driver was placed into custody and charged. The driver also had an open traffic warrant for Failure to Appear.

Southern District

DUI/Handgun/Davidsonville 

21-716082 

 

On May 20, 2021 at approximately 12:05 a.m., an off-duty Officer observed a Ford truck parked in the middle of the road in the area of Davidsonville Road at Rutland Road, Davidsonville, with an adult male lying in the roadway next to the truck. As the Officer approached the male he was initially unresponsive, then he rolled over to his side where a handgun was displayed in his waistband. The Officer approached the male at which time he got up. The male appeared to highly intoxicated, and refused to comply with the Officers directions. The male re-entered his vehicle and continued to ignore verbal commands. With the help of additional officers, the subject was eventually taken into custody without incident. The male admitted to driving the truck, but couldn’t explain why he was lying in the roadway. The Glock 26, 9mm semi-auto handgun was recovered. The driver was arrested and charged.
