On May 15, 2021 at approximately 4:10 p.m. officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in front of 4139 Mountain Road in Pasadena. The 25-year-old male victim was waiting outside when a silver Chevrolet Tahoe approached.  Two male suspects, who are known to the victim, exited the vehicle and assaulted and stole cash from the victim. The suspects fled in the Tahoe. Officers applied for and received charges for the suspects who have not yet been served. This is an active investigation and Eastern District detectives are asking anyone with information to contact 410-222-6145 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Western District
CDS-Weapons Violation / Odenton

On May 17, 2021 at approximately 1:15 a.m. Western District officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2007 GMC Yukon in the area of Annapolis Road and Telegraph road in Odenton. Officers made contact with the driver and observed a bag of suspected heroin in plain view. The driver was placed in custody and a subsequent search of his vehicle revealed a loaded Kahr .40 cal. handgun, 600 pills of suspected Oxycodone, 52.4 grams of suspected marijuana, 4.14 grams of suspected cocaine, 64.2 grams of suspected heroin, $775 in U.S. currency and other paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and sale of CDS. The driver was found to be prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior convictions and he was arrested and charged.

Weapons; CDS Violation / Millersville

On May 15, 2021 at approximately 11:45 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Acura in the area of Veterans Highway and Brightview Drive in Millersville. Upon speaking with the driver, officers received information which led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a loaded Taurus 625 9mm handgun,  142 grams of suspected marijuana, 25 oxycodone pills, a digital scale, baggies and other paraphernalia. The adult male passenger was found to be in possession of a loaded Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun, which was reported stolen from Georgia. Both subjects were arrested and charged.

Weapons Violation-Pursuit-Injured Officers / Glen Burnie

Preliminary Information:

On May 15, 2021 at approximately 7:15 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway for an unknown vehicle parked in the resident’s driveway. Upon arrival, officers located an occupied vehicle with a driver and passenger who were asleep inside the car. Officers awakened the driver, and during the verbal interaction observed a handgun in plain view. The suspect vehicle then drove off at which time a pursuit was initiated. Multiple officers along with Maryland State Police responded to the area of Robinson Road and Ritchie Highway in Severna Park to assist. The vehicle briefly stopped and officers attempted to de-escalate and reason with the driver before the suspect pulled away, again attempting to flee, injuring two officers. A short distance away the suspect vehicle became inoperable. Both suspects fled on foot and were quickly apprehended. During the incident a firearm was thrown from the suspect vehicle which was recovered on the side of Ritchie Highway.

The two injured officers were transported to an area hospital and sustained non-life threatening injuries. One officer was admitted and the other received treatment and was released.

This is an active and on-going investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
