Weapons Violation; CDS Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On March 14, 2021 at approximately 11:40 a.m. Northern District officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Accord in the area of Ritchie Highway and 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .22 caliber Walther P22 handgun, which had been reported stolen. Also seized were a leather backpack containing 108.96 grams of suspected marijuana, 549.17 grams edible THC, a digital scale and other CDS paraphernalia. The driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm and was arrested and charged.

On March 13, 2021 at approximately 5:15 p.m. Northern District officers responded for a report of individuals smoking CDS in a vehicle in the 300 block of A Street S.W. in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver and noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded .45 caliber Glock 36 handgun found in the center console of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged.

On March 13, 2021 at approximately 6:15 p.m. an Eastern District officer conducted a traffic stop on a silver Acura TL in the area of Fort Smallwood Road and Sycamore Road in Curtis Bay. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. The investigation resulted in a search of the vehicle and occupants which led to the seizure of 20.51 grams of suspected marijuana, 69 gel caps containing suspected heroin (23.72g), 74 small containers with suspected crack cocaine (40.37g), 3 portable digital scales and $3,480 U.S. currency.

On March 14, 2021 at approximately 3:40 p.m. officers were patrolling the Stillmeadows community when they heard several gunshots in the area. The officers went to the area of Parham Court and Coatsbridge Court and located a gray Ford sedan that was damaged by a bullet. Officers located five spent .40 caliber shell casings in the roadway in the 8200 block of Coatsbridge Court. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. On March 13, 2021, at approximately 3:45 p.m. Western District officers were checked on a parked occupied silver Ford Mustang in the 900 block of Eastham Court in Crofton. Officers observed two occupants in the vehicle and noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of 200.29 grams of suspected marijuana, 12 suspected THC vape pen cartridges, 11 individual packs of suspected marijuana edibles weighing 237.36 grams, 1 portable digital scale, 1 vape pen containing suspected THC oil, 9 plastic bags and 1 pack of rolling papers. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged.
