Northern District
Weapons Violation / Linthicum

On January 29, 2021, at approximately 10:15 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop of a black Nissan Altima in the area of West Nursery Road and International Drive in Linthicum. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the recovery of a loaded polymer handgun with a 30 round extended magazine. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Eastern District
Theft from Auto (Arrest) / Severna Park
21-703327, 37, 42, 44, 50

On January 30, 2021 at approximately 5:40 a.m. Eastern District officer responded to the 600 block of Shore road in Severna Park for a report of tampering with auto. Upon officers arrival they observed the described suspect and detained him. An investigation revealed the suspect entered several vehicle’s on Shore Road, Arleigh Road and West Drive. The suspect was in possession of numerous credit cards and various prescription bottles in various names. He was arrested and charged.

Western District
Strong Arm Robbery (Arrest) / Hanover

On January 30, 2021 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Western District officers responded for a fight on the fourth floor of the parking garage located in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle. Two adult female victims exited the elevator when they were approached by the suspect who attempted to grab a bag of food from the victims. The victims fought off the suspect and were able to keep him at the scene until officers arrived. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Western District
Stabbing (Arrest) / Laurel

On January 30, 2021 at approximately 9:20 p.m. Western District officers responded to the Travelodge Hotel located at 3380 Laurel Fort Meade road in Laurel for a report of a stabbing. Upon officers arrival, the victim stated that she had an argument with the suspect which resulted in the suspect stabbing her in an upper extremity. The victim was transported to a hospital for her injury. The suspect was located on scene and was arrested and charged.

Southern District
Gunshots Fired / Churchton

On January 30, 2021 at approximately 2:50 p.m. Southern District officers responded to the 5400 block of Churchton Road in Churchton for a report of several vehicles that had been struck by bullets overnight. Upon officers arrival, they observed two vehicles in the driveway with bullet holes and what appeared to be at least one bullet hole into the house. The occupants of the residence stated they heard what they thought was gunfire around 1:30 a.m. Officers conducted a canvass of the surrounding area and did not locate any additional damage. Shooting / Lothian

On January 31, 2021 at approximately 2:50 a.m. officers responded for a shooting in the 5800 block of Independent Lane in Lothian. Responding officers located the victim who was being driven to the hospital on Greenock Drive. Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower body. Officers canvassed the area where the shooting occurred and located several bullet holes in a vehicle and the exterior of the residence. Officers determined the shooting occurred as a residential gathering was ending.
