Handgun Violation-CDS Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On January 11, 2021 at approximately 11:35 p.m. Eastern District officers conducted a traffic stop of a black Honda Accord in the 300 block of Highland Drive in Glen Burnie. An Investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the recovery of approximately 58 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, a box of sandwich type baggies and a loose 9mm round. While speaking with the passenger, the passenger pushed the officer and attempted to flee on foot. The passenger was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a loaded 9 mm Polymer P80 handgun. A search of the driver resulted in the recovery of $1,808 U.S. currency. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.

On January 11, 2021 at approximately 3:03 p.m. Eastern District officers responded to the area of Foxchase Drive at Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie for a complaint of a possible narcotics transaction in progress. Upon officers arrival in the area they observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle, a maroon Toyota Camry. An investigation led to the search of the vehicle and suspects, which resulted in the recovery of approximately 28 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, clear plastic baggies and $369.00 U.S. currency. The passenger was arrested and charged accordingly. The driver was released on a Civil Citation.

Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On January, 11, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the area of the 7300 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a report of three male suspects armed with firearms. As officers arrived, the suspects fled on foot, however, officers were able to apprehend the suspects after a brief foot pursuit. One suspect was found to be in possession of a 9mm Glock handgun and extended 30 round magazine (loaded with seven rounds). The same suspect was also found to be in possession of 11 capsules of suspected heroin, 4.8 grams of suspected crack cocaine, .71 grams of suboxone and .5 grams of suspected Xanax. Officers recovered a backpack discarded by the second suspect. The backpack contained a loaded sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun. Both suspects are prohibited from possessing firearms. They were arrested and charged accordingly. The third suspect was located and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and was released on a civil citation.
