First Degree Assault (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On December 28, 2020 at approximately 10:05 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the 300 block of Norman Avenue in Glen Burnie for an armed subject with a knife. Upon arrival, officers determined that a physical altercation took place between the victim and suspect. During the altercation the suspect retrieved a knife and threatened the victim. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The suspect was taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Western District
Assault; Shots Fired/ Crofton

On December 28, 2020 at 10:54 p.m. Western District officers responded to the 1700 block of Truro Road in Crofton for a report of an assault and shots fired. Upon officers arrival, subjects in a residence were having a get together. They reported three black male suspects, approximately 18-19 years of age, showed up at the residence looking for one of the guests. Subjects at the residence told them he was not there and the victim went outside. When he did, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and struck him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The female victim went to the door and the suspect pointed the gun at her. One of the other suspects who was standing in the driveway then brandished a handgun and fired a round into the air. The three suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Commercial Robbery/ Laurel

On December 28, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Western District officers responded to the 7-Eleven store located at 3393 Laurel-Fort Meade Road in Laurel for a report of a robbery.  Upon officers arrival the victim advised that the suspect walked behind the counter, implied he had a handgun and threatened the clerk. No weapon was displayed, but the clerk complied out of fear. The suspect proceeded to steal an undetermined amount of scratch-off lottery tickets from under the counter and left the store, walking westbound on Route 198. Multiple officers canvassed the area with negative results. The victim was not injured in this incident. Suspect: Black male, 25-30 YOA, 6'0, thin build, short black hair, wearing black jacket and gray sweatpants.
