Attempted Robbery / Brooklyn Park

On December 2, 2020 at approximately 11:40 p.m. officers responded for an attempted robbery of a citizen at a residence in the 300 block of Hillview Drive in Brooklyn Park. The adult male victim was walking from the laundry room to an apartment when he was approached by two male suspects. One of the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded property from the victim. The victim fled to an apartment and the suspects followed him and attempted to kick in the door, but were unsuccessful. The suspects then fled in the white Ford Ranger. A responding officer stopped a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle in the area of Dorsey Road and Central Avenue. The driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was positively identified by the victim and taken into custody. The second suspect, a black male in his 20's wearing a dark colored jacket, is still outstanding and has not been identified. No weapons were recovered.
