County Executive Pittman Signs Executive Order #38

Annapolis, Md (November 20, 2020) Today County Executive Steuart Pittman signed Executive Order #38, effective at 5:00 p.m. on November 20. The executive order clarifies and restates existing provisions already in effect, and incorporates Governor Larry Hogan’s Executive Order Number 20-11-17-01


Executive Order #38 sets a closing time of 10:00 p.m. for all in-person operations at bars, restaurants and other foodservice establishments that sell alcohol, in accordance with the new state restrictions. These establishments are also required to reduce indoor seating capacity to 25 percent of maximum capacity, as previously announced last week.


The executive order provides language clarifying that fellowship addiction recovery meetings are permitted at 50 percent of maximum capacity, up to a maximum of 100 people, provided that face coverings are worn and proper social distancing protocols are followed.
