Handgun & CDS Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On November 18, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Northern District detectives conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Honda Accord in the 100 block of Mountain Road in Glen Burnie. As the vehicle came to a stop, two of the passengers immediately exited the vehicle. One was displaying a handgun and the other appeared to be secreting an item in his waistband. Both individuals began to flee and one threw a silver handgun into a wooded area. Officers quickly apprehended both suspects. The discarded weapon, a silver 9mm Blank handgun, was recovered and a S&W 9mm handgun was recovered from the second subject. Small amounts of suspected marijuana and suspected crack-cocaine were recovered from the first subject who was identified as Daquian McCardell, and a small amount of marijuana was found on the second subject who was identified as Djibril Turner. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly. The driver was arrested and charged with several traffic related violations.

On November 18, 2020 at approximately 6:00 p.m. officers responded for a report of an armed subject in the area of the 900 block of Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum. Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by the reporting person who pointed out the male suspect who was walking along Elkridge Landing Road. Officers began to approach the suspect and the suspect fled. Officers quickly apprehended the suspect and recovered a Springfield XD .40 caliber handgun which the suspect had discarded as he fled. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On November 18, 2020 at approximately 6:00 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Infinity in the area of Reese Road and Hollow Court in Severn. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed suspected marijuana in plain view within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded Polymer 80% 9mm handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
