Northern District
Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On November 8, 2020 at approximately 11:50 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop of a silver Pontiac sedan in the area of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road East in Glen Burnie. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined the vehicle was unregistered and could not be operated on public roads.  While processing the vehicle for impoundment, officers recovered a loaded SCCY CPX-1 9mm handgun from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  The driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.

Tampering-Theft From Auto Spree / Glen Burnie   

20-736753-55, 57-58, 60-62, 64-65, 67-68, 72

 

On November 9, 2020 at approximately  2:38 a.m. a caller advised that approximately 10 minutes earlier, five to six males of unknown race with facemasks and dressed all in black were in the area of Ashmore Road/Pebblebrook Drive opening unlocked vehicles and taking property.  Officers responded to the area and located multiple vehicles that had been entered, and some with contents removed. The officers checked the area for the suspects but were unable to locate the group. Eastern District
Tampering-Theft from Auto Spree / Pasadena
20-736752, 56, 69, 70, 71, 73 -75

  
 
On November 9, 2020 at approximately 1:55 a.m. officers responded to a tampering with auto call in the Chesterfield Community on Dorshire Court, Robin Air Court and Chadwick Court in Pasadena.  A witness reported an unknown suspect had entered unlocked vehicles and removed property. Officers located eight vehicles which had been rummaged through and had items stolen.  A witness described the suspect as a white male in his 20s wearing dark clothing. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Southern District 
Animal Cruelty / Annapolis

On November 6, 2020 at approximately 10:50 p.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of Carriage Hill Court in Annapolis for a report of an animal abuse/cruelty complaint. Officers received information indicating the victim observed her boyfriend kick her dog several times on the security camera.  Officers arrived at the residence and viewed the video with the victim. The video showed the suspect cornering their 3-year-old Polish Sheepdog and kicking it five times in its side while the dog yelped in pain. Another incident was observed several minutes later showing the suspect picking the dog up by its throat, carrying it across the room over the suspect’s head, and slamming the dog on the floor. The suspect then kicked the dog one additional time, prior to the dog running off.  Officers arrested the suspect and charged him accordingly. The victim transported the dog to a veterinarian/animal hospital  for possible leg injuries. There is no update on the condition of dog at this time.

Southern District
Assault / Edgewater
20-736629

On November 7, 2020 at approximately 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the Coldstone Creamery located at 15 Lee AirPark Drive in Edgewater for an unknown disturbance.  The initial investigation found that a black male suspect and black female suspect entered the business without facemasks and were asked to put them on.  The suspects were uncooperative and argued with the employees.  The argument escalated to the point where the suspect physically assaulted the store employees.  The suspects left the scene prior to police arrival in a Silver Nissan Altima with an unknown registration.  Fire Department personnel responded and  checked both employees for injuries. One of the employees was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspects.
