From County Executive Pittman:
Today, Governor Larry Hogan announced that certain outdoor activities could now be permitted under the Stay at Home Order, effective 7 a.m. tomorrow. I'm pleased to announce that Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks will open Compass Pointe golf course at noon. Tee times will be spread out for social distancing.
Golf carts will not be available until Friday but walkers are welcome tomorrow. All current social distancing provisions continue to be in place. We encourage golfers to wear face coverings and maintain 6 ft distance between people. State Golf Guidance
Recreational boating will now be permitted as well, starting tomorrow - as long as it can be done safely. Boaters must follow current social distancing requirements. State Boat Ramp & Marina Guidance
And finally, we will open tennis courts to be used responsibly with social distancing protocols. Other public county spaces mentioned in the Governor's order (sports fields, dog parks, beaches & playgrounds) remain closed until a time when Anne Arundel County Department of Health has deemed them safe for use.
