Police Press Release - September 17, 2019

Northern District - Robbery / Glen Burnie
 
On September 16, 2019 at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Crain Hwy., N., in Glen Burnie for report of a robbery and stabbing. An adult male victim was seated in his van at the corner of Virginia Ave NW and Crain Hwy. when he was approached by an unknown male who opened the driver’s door to his vehicle in an attempt to rob him. The victim resisted and was stabbed by the suspect. The victim handed over his wallet to the suspect and was then able to flee down an alley. Officers searched the area however were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Northern District Detectives are investigating and are asking anyone with any information to call 410-222-6135 or the TipLine 410-222-4700. There is no further information.
 
Suspect: Black male, 28-35 years of age, thin build, short hair
 
Attempt Commercial Robbery (Arrest) / Glen Burnie
 
On September 17, 2019 at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded for an attempted commercial robbery at the the McDonalds located at 7379 B&A Boulevard in Glen Burnie. A male suspect approached the employee, stated he had a handgun and demanded cash. The victim did not comply and the suspect fled toward 8th Avenue. Several units responded and canvassed the area. Air and K-9 units responded. A look-out was given with the suspect description. An officer located the suspect who was positively identified by the victim. The suspect was arrested and transported to Northern District for processing.
