WESTERN DISTRICT
On March 27, 2019 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Western District Tactical Patrol Unit detectives initiated a traffic stop on Pioneer Drive near Arwell Court. Detectives approached the vehicle at which time the operator attempted to strike the detectives with the vehicle while attempting to flee. Officers were able to catch up with the vehicle which became disabled a short distance away. The driver and passenger were taken into custody. The following items were located in the vehicle:
- Glock 22 .40 caliber semi-auto handgun w/ 11 rounds (loaded)
- 20 packages of gummy candy containing marijuana (est. street value $400.00)
The passenger was found to have 22.13 grams of suspected marijuana having an estimated street value of $440.00 on his person.
