First-Degree Assault - Glen Burnie

On June 30, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of an assault that just occurred in the 700 block of Washington Avenue in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that two roommates were involved in a mutual assault when one produced a knife. The suspect used the knife to assault the victim. Officers went on to learn that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Burglary (Home Invasion) - Glen Burnie

On July 2, 2023, at approximately 5:30 a.m. officers responded for a burglary in progress at a residence in the 300 block of Phirne Road in Glen Burnie. The suspect kicked in the rear door of the home, ran upstairs, and barricaded himself inside a bedroom. The victim was home at the time. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Home Invasion / Assault - Severna Park

On July 2, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a home invasion that just occurred in the unit block of Severndale Road in Severna Park. Investigation revealed that just prior to the home invasion, the suspect sustained a self-inflicted head injury at an address on Kensington Drive. The suspect fled the residence on Kensington Drive and forced his way into the victims residence on Severndale Road. Upon making entry into the victims residence the suspect physically assaulted the victim. Officers were able to take the suspect info custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for treatment of the self-inflicted injury. Officers applied for charges against the suspect.
