Robbery (Citizen) - Linthicum

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery of a citizen that just occurred at the Extended Stay, 939 International Drive in Linthicum. Investigation revealed that the victim answered the door after someone knocked and announced, “Housekeeping.” When the victim opened the door, the suspects pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The suspects took two cell phones, currency, and the victim’s identification. 1) White male, 25-35 years old, black hooded sweatshirt and gray jeans
2) Black male, 25-35 years old, dreadlocks, long t-shirt, black jeans, armed with a black handgun.

Hit & Run / DUI - Arnold

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., an officer accompanied by a civilian county employee were traveling in the officer's patrol vehicle in the area of College Parkway and Peninsula Farm Road in Arnold, when they were struck by another motor vehicle. The officer’s vehicle was disabled, and the suspect vehicle continued into a nearby community and eventually stopped with the driver bailing out on foot and attempting to flee. The suspect was apprehended a short distance from the vehicle and without further incident. Investigation revealed the suspect was under the influence and driving with his wife and five kids when the accident occurred. The officer and the civilian employee were not injured, however, all of the passengers from the suspect vehicle were transported to an area hospital as a precaution. The driver of the suspect vehicle was not injured, he was arrested and charged accordingly.

Fatal Crash - Odenton

On June 19, 2023, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers responded for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 400 block of North Patuxent Road in Odenton. The investigation revealed the driver was repositioning the vehicle when unbeknownst to them, a 2-year-old stepped off the porch and in front of the truck. The victim was struck by the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

Fatal Crash - Pasadena

On June 20, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of a single-vehicle collision in the area of Ashberry Lane and Beechberry Court in Pasadena. for a single-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed a 2020 Mazda SUV was traveling southbound on Ashberry Lane when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
