Homicide - Glen Burnie

On April 13, 2023, at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers responded for a shooting that just occurred in the 400 block of Glen Mar Road in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. When AACo Fire personnel arrived, they pronounced the victim deceased.

Burglary (Residential) - Brooklyn

On April 14, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of a burglary in progress in the unit block of Bon Air Avenue in Brooklyn. The complainant informed officers that they observed the suspects entering a residence that was vacant but still contained the previous tenants' belongings. Officers encountered two suspects as they exited the residence, pushing a shopping cart full of property. During the investigation, officers learned that neither suspect had a legal right to be inside the residence or to remove any property. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly. During the intake process, officers discovered that both suspects provided fictitious names, and each suspect had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

Stolen Vehicle (Arrest) - Glen Burnie

On April 14, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers responded for a single-vehicle collision in the area of Governor Ritchie Highway and Fitzallen Road in Glen Burnie. Prior to the officers' arrival, the driver of the vehicle fled on foot. As officers were investigating the crash, they learned that the vehicle involved was stolen from the 1200 block of Crawford Drive just prior to the crash. As additional officers were arriving, a victim in the 1000 block of Fitzallen Road called in, stating that they had just interrupted an attempted theft of their vehicle. As the officer made their way towards the residence on Fitzallen, the suspect once again fled on foot. During their canvas, officers encountered the suspect as he attempted to steal a third vehicle in the 900 block of Edgerly Road. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, he was arrested and charged accordingly.
