Robbery (Commercial) (Arrest Update) - Brooklyn

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an armed robbery that just occurred at the Sleep Inn and Suites, 6055 Belle Grove Road in Brooklyn. Investigation revealed an unknown black male suspect wearing all black clothing entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the front desk clerk. After the suspect took all the money out of the register, he walked the employee into a back office and then fled the business. Suspect: Black male, last seen wearing all-black clothing, a black mask, and armed with a black handgun.
Update (September 8, 2023):
Through investigation, CID Robbery detectives were able to identify two suspects involved in this robbery of the Sleep Inn and Suites. On September 6, 2023, detectives applied for and received arrest warrants charging both suspects for their involvement in this case. They are currently being held in another jurisdiction on unrelated charges and will be served prior to their release.

Non-Contact Shooting - Laurel

On September 8, 2023, at approximately 2:24 a.m., officers responded for a non-contact shooting that just occurred in the rear parking lot of the Garden Inn Hotel located at 3400 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The victim advised that he was waiting for a female friend to arrive at the rear of the hotel when two unknown males began approaching his vehicle. The victim started to drive away, and one of the suspects fired at the vehicle, striking it. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.
