The Essential Worker Housing Access Act, introduced on October 2, would create county-wide housing opportunities for essential workers by requiring developers of new residential subdivisions to offer a percentage of units at an affordable price. More information can be found at www.aacounty.org/essential-worker-housing. During the event, Asha Smith, local housing experts, and advocates will provide remarks on the impact of the lack of affordable housing and the bill. Members of the media should RSVP with Renesha Alphonso.
