Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On November 11, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen that occurred in the area of Charley Eckman Lane and Dorsey Road in Glen Burnie. The victim advised that while walking on the Baltimore Annapolis Trail, three male suspects approached him, implied they had weapons, and demanded money. The victim complied with the suspects’ demands and then ran. First-Degree Assault - Glen Burnie

On November 11, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded for an assault with a firearm at the Red Roof Inn located at 6600 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. A male suspect was going door to door, banging on doors in the building. An occupant of one of the rooms opened the door, and a verbal altercation ensued. The suspect walked away and returned with a handgun. The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim, a 35-year-old female, and fled. Responding officers located the suspect, who was arrested and charged.

Home Invasion - Lothian

On November 12, 2023, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the 1100 block of Mount Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian. The male suspect knocked on the door carrying what the victim described as a pole or bat. The victim answered the door, and a male suspect rushed in, demanding the victim’s wallet and cash. The suspect struck the victim in the head several times. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Southern District detectives are continuing the investigation of this incident.

FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH - SHADY SIDE

On November 12, 2023, at approximately 11:10 a.m., officers responded for a motor vehicle crash on Shady Side Road at Deep Cove Road in Shady Side. The investigation revealed a 2022 Toyota Rav4 was traveling eastbound on Shady Side Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road into a drainage ditch, striking a fence and a BGE pole. The driver and passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
