The Nonprofit Center strongly supports Federal Bill S.2286, known as the Streamlining Federal Grants Act of 2023. Local nonprofits know how difficult it can be to obtain federal grant funding and too often the process is slowed down with undue administrative burdens.
S.2286, a bipartisan bill, seeks to make the grant process simpler, quicker, more equitable, and more transparent. The national organization Social Current has written a sign-on letter to raise support for S.2286. You can read the full text of the letter here and show your support by adding your organization to the list here.
County Executive Pittman is expressing his support through a letter to Senator Cardin, Senator Van Hollen, Representative Hoyer and Representative Sarbanes.
