Briefly describe the main purpose of the internship:
Purpose of Internship:
This internship is an extension of academic instruction and provides the opportunity turn classroom knowledge instruction into practical application in the workplace. The intern will draw upon knowledge gained through their college coursework in order to perform the principal assignment and/or projects of this internship.
Principal Assignment:
The intern will learn how to iSupport and participate in execution of the operations and management of a group of Windows Operating Systems: Servers (2012 R2 and 2016) and Workstations (Windows 7 and 10) along with performing Active Directory administration and management to include design, cleanup and routine maintenance and configuration.
List preferred experience/courses taken:
Any IT / IS / Cybersecurity courses - minimal experience
Describe the Intern's principal learning assignments and/or projects. What will the Intern learn about, be exposed to, or assist with?
- Interns will work within our monitoring systems like solar winds and VMWare Operations Manager/ Dell SAN Storage Manager to do investigating and resolving of all kinds of alerts coming in.
- Assist in maintaining DR, Backup and Restore processes regarding critical systems Configure, test, and maintain Virtual infrastructure environment
- Assist and maintain Microsoft Active Directory services and policies
- Deploying new servers into vSphere / Migrating servers to AWS.

Interns will take our processes and gain real world experience by resolving these low level alerts while gaining confidence in their own abilities and training
