Internship Description:
This internship is an extension of
academic instruction and provides the opportunity to turn classroom instruction into
practical application in the workplace. The intern will draw upon the knowledge gained
through their college coursework in order to perform the principal assignment and/or
projects of this internship.
Preferred Courses Taken:
Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice, English, Microsoft Word and Related Majors
Description of the Interns Assignment:
The internship will provide the intern with the opportunity to observe, gain knowledge and experience in the areas of Operations, Security and Administrative/Support Functions.
What the Intern will achieve:
The interns will gain knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience of the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office as it relates to their college coursework.
The intern will learn about, assist and complete tasks in the areas of: Warrants, Domestic Violence, Civil Process, Security, Document Control and Specialized Units.
