Northern District Community Basketball Court Rededication/Ribbon Cutting

We will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening (Ribbon Cutting Ceremony) for the Northern District Basketball Court on August 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. The rain date is August 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. The court was renovated over the past year, and we are looking forward to re-opening the court to the North County Community. This renovation provides another location (a lighted basketball court) for our residents and children to use in Northern District. Building partnerships with our community is a priority for us, and this court provides an opportunity to expand our community outreach efforts.
We will also be hosting "Leadership through Athletics" events with children in the North County Community throughout the year. As part of this program, PACT will be organizing sporting events (Basketball, Street Hockey, Futsal), outdoor movie nights, etc. with a focus on leadership, mentorship, and partnering with the community.
Elected Officials, Community Leaders, and North County residents are invited to attend the grand re-opening. There will be a short ceremony and ribbon cutting followed by a Basketball Game (officers and children from North County). Food and beverages will also be provided.
Thank you to all of the Anne Arundel County Government officials and Departments that made this possible. County Executive Steuart Pittman will be in attendance.
