Attempted Citizen Robbery / Brooklyn Park

On April 13, 2020 at approximately 2:00 p.m. officers responded to the La Quetzalteca Market at 5031 Ritchie Highway for a robbery of a citizen. The victim advised he was leaving the business when he was approached by two men in dark clothing. The suspects attempted to physically remove property from the victim while displaying a handgun. The suspects fled the scene when witnesses began to come out of the business. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injures. Western District
Assault (Handgun) & Theft / Laurel

April 13, 2020 at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers responded for a theft at the BP located at 3851 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. Three unknown males, entered the business, removed a large industrial jack and loaded it into a burgundy Chevy Malibu. When employees confronted the suspects one of them displayed a handgun and they fled in the vehicle. The victim There were no injuries reported during this incident. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or vehicle.
