Weapon & CDS Violation – Severn

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 9:32 p.m., officers were in the Stillmeadows community when they observed a suspected drug transaction. One suspect returned to a parked Nissan Altima in the 8200 block of Durness Court. As officers approached to investigate, one suspect fled and was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. He was found to be in possession of a loaded Glock .40 caliber handgun.
Meanwhile, another suspect attempted to enter a nearby residence to discard a firearm unlawfully but was quickly taken into custody. Two additional suspects interfered during the incident and were arrested. Officers recovered two loaded Glock .40 caliber handguns, approximately 58.18 grams of suspected cannabis, and $1,119.00 in U.S. currency as a result of the investigation.

Shooting (Non-Contact) – Annapolis

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to Heart Homes Assisted Living in the 3000 block of Arundel on the Bay Road for a report of shots fired. Staff advised that a disgruntled employee was asked to leave for the day and allegedly fired a round upon exiting the property. The individual was initially detained and searched along with his vehicle, but no firearm was located. As a result, he was released at that time.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., officers were called back to the business when the same individual was reportedly seen in the backyard area along the wood line. The individual left before the officers' arrival. Staff provided video footage from inside the business showing the individual in possession of a firearm earlier that day.
Officers learned the suspect posted on social media a short time later, indicating he was out of gas along Interstate 97. Officers canvassed the area and located him on northbound 97 on the shoulder near Benfield Boulevard. Ludwig was taken into custody without incident. A search of his vehicle, conducted with his consent, resulted in the recovery of a loaded Black Taurus G2C 9mm handgun.
