Theft from Auto - Glen Burnie

On April 20, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of a subject tampering with vehicles in the area of Joyce Drive and D Street in Glen Burnie. Officers learned that numerous vehicles were vandalized and gone through by the suspect. As officers were canvasing the area, they observed a subject matching the description provided by the complainant. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. At the time of his apprehension, the suspect possessed property belonging to the victims. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. During the intake process, officers discovered that the suspect had three outstanding warrants, which were then served on the suspect.

Stolen Auto - Glen Burnie

On April 20, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded for a report of subjects attempting to steal a vehicle in the 7800 block of Tall Pines Court in Glen Burnie. The complainant observed three subjects break the rear hatch window of a black Kia Sportage and climb into the vehicle. The vehicle and suspects were no longer on location when officers arrived. As officers saturated the area, an officer observed the vehicle that the complainant described in the area of Crain Highway and Crainmont Drive. In an attempt to avoid the officers, the vehicle turned into a residential neighborhood onto a dead-end street and struck a curb, disabling the vehicle. All three suspects fled the vehicle on foot. Two of the three suspects were apprehended, and both were charged accordingly. The remaining suspect was described as a black juvenile female, which detectives are working to identify. Armed Carjacking - Crofton

On April 20, 2023, just after midnight, officers responded for a report of an armed carjacking that just occurred in the 1600 block of Walleye Drive in Crofton. The victim told officers that he parked his vehicle in front of his residence after returning home from work. As the victim exited his car, he was approached by two black male suspects, one of which was armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded the victim’s car keys and reached into the victim’s pocket and took his keys. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, a black 2014 Nissan Maxima 4-door sedan. Suspects: two black males, slim build, possibly in their late teens to early 20s, last seen wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans, at least one armed with a handgun.
