On April 21, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a stabbing that just occurred at the Hardee’s, 718 Nursery Road in Linthicum. Officers learned that an employee became upset with a co-worker and stabbed them in the back with a large knife. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On April 22, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of a robbery of a citizen in the area of Oakwood Road and Mary Lane in Glen Burnie. The victim advised he was seated in his vehicle when he observed a male subject and a female subject exit an address on Oakwood Road and approach a blue Toyota sedan. The victim indicated that the male subject was staring at him and approached his vehicle. As he approached the vehicle, the suspect stated, “Do we have a problem?” as he lifted the front of his blue hooded sweatshirt to expose the grip of a handgun. The suspect went through the victim's pockets and punched him in the head with a closed fist before walking back to the Toyota sedan and driving off toward Maryland Route 100. The victim advised a male suspect armed with a handgun came into the store and demanded money. The suspect struck the victim with the butt of the pistol grip. The victim gave the suspect an undetermined amount of US currency, and he fled from the store. On April 23, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a residential burglary in the unit block of Bon Air Avenue in Brooklyn. Officers responded to reports of loud music coming from an apartment that should have been vacant. When the complainants went to investigate, they were confronted by an unknown male who pointed a handgun at them before they retreated back into their residence. When officers arrived, the suspects exited the residence in question. A search of the residence yielded a replica handgun and paintball gun. The owner of the residence responded and confirmed that the occupants did not have permission to be at or inside the residence. The suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

On April 22, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of a non-contact shooting in the 8400 block of Bussenius Road in Pasadena. The victim stated that at approximately 3:00 a.m., they heard what they thought was an item getting knocked over in their home and went to investigate but found nothing out of the ordinary. When he awoke in the morning, he found a bullet hole in his front window, glass on the floor, and a damaged vase. There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the shooting. On April 22, 2023, at approximately 11:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of a non-contact shooting that occurred earlier in the 4400 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena. The owner was in the process of moving his trailer when he noticed a bullet hole in the front of it. It is believed that the bullet hole was a result of the shooting that took place at/near Bussenius Road overnight (Ref. 23-714217). There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the shooting. On April 22, 2023, at approximately 2:45 p.m., an officer was initiating a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Reece Road when he was flagged down by numerous citizens pleading for help in the opposite corner of the parking lot. The officer turned his attention towards the opposite corner and observed a male holding a metal pole while backing away from another male who was seated in a chair. The citizens and the subject holding the pole indicated to the officer that the male in the chair had a knife. The officer approached the male seated in the chair and discovered that he had an opened box cutter-type razor knife and paint can opener in his lap. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. During his investigation, the officer discovered that the suspect armed with the razor knife was under the influence and threatened the victim repeatedly. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Auto Theft / Shooting (Non-Contact) - Crofton

On April 24, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Eastham Court in Crofton. The victim advised he looked outside of his residence to see three suspects breaking into a blue 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat. The victim went downstairs to confront the suspects with his personal firearm, and one of the suspects turned and pointed a handgun at him. The victim fired at the suspect and turned to run back inside when he heard two more gunshots. During their investigation, officers located two spent casings in the area the suspects were last seen fleeing. There were no reported physical injuries as a result of the shooting, and officers were not able to locate any vehicles or buildings struck by gunfire. On April 21, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shoplifting and assault at Macy’s, inside the Annapolis Mall. Officers learned that the suspect entered the store and was recognized by loss prevention as the suspect from prior shopliftings. When confronted, the suspect began cursing at loss prevention, grabbed two stacks of jeans, and walked out of the store. Loss prevention followed the suspect outside, it was at that point the suspect produced a fixed-blade knife and threatened them. The suspect climbed into a silver Toyota Tundra SUV and fled. On April 21, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., detectives assigned to the Southern District Strategic Patrol Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Forest Drive and Hicks Avenue in Annapolis. During their investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, where detectives located a loaded black handgun. The driver and sole occupant was a 16-year-old juvenile. The driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm, he was arrested and charged accordingly.

Other evidence appeared to show that someone fired rounds into the ground. There were no reported injuries or property damage.
