Commercial Robbery / Glen Burnie

On April 27, 2020 at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded for an armed robbery at the Royal Farms located at 7201 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. An unknown male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk complied and the male fled the business towards Wellham Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. There were no injuries reported in this incident. Western District
Police Impersonation (Arrest) / Gambrills

On April 27, 2020 at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of a suspicious male subject at the Wegmans located at 1413 S. Main Chapel Way in Gambrills. An off-duty Anne Arundel County officer was alerted to a subject who possibly displayed a handgun to an employee. Officers located the subject in the parking lot. While speaking with officers, the male told officers he was a federal law enforcement officer. Further investigation revealed the subject was not a federal law enforcement officer. While officers were speaking with the subject, the subject became agitated and began shouting loudly, drawing the attention of store employees and customers. A replica “Airsoft” pistol was recovered from the subject’s backpack. The subject was arrested and transported to Western District for processing. Detectives are asking any individuals who may have had contact with the subject to call Western District Detectives at 410-222-6155.
