Shooting (Non-Contact) Arrest Update - Glen Burnie

On March 17, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Crain Highway and Crain Court Circle for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that witnesses reported seeing a male dressed in all black exit an apartment complex and fire multiple shots at three individuals walking northbound on Crain Highway. The three individuals fled across the highway toward Thelma Avenue, although an extensive area search yielded negative results for those individuals. Officers located projectile marks in the ground and fragments in the roadway. Aviation, K-9, and RTIC assisted in the investigation, which is ongoing. Update: (April 4, 2025) 
On March 28, 2025, Northern District detectives, with assistance from Glen Burnie High School School Resource Officers, arrested a 17-year-old student in connection with the prior shooting in the area of Crain Highway and Crain Court Circle. The investigation identified the driver of a vehicle involved, who was cooperative and unaware a shooting had occurred. With help from the School Resource Officers, the juvenile suspect was positively identified and linked to the incident. Due to the seriousness of the offense, the juvenile was charged as an adult. Detectives located the suspect near Crain Highway and Aquahart Road, taking him into custody without incident. A search warrant executed at a residence located in the 300 block of Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, led to the recovery of evidence related to the shooting, additional firearms, and a large quantity of drugs. The suspect was charged accordingly, with additional charges pending. This is still an active investigation.
