On April 6, 2021 at approximately 7:48 p.m. Eastern District Officers conducted a traffic stop on Ritchie Highway at Magothy Bridge Road in Severna Park. Officers made contact with the driver at which time information was obtained resulting in the arrest of the driver and search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a P80 Black semi-automatic 9mm handgun with no serial number, one magazine with ten rounds of 9mm ammunition inserted in the handgun, one box of one hundred (100) rounds of Remington Viper .22lr ammunition, and one suspected acetaminophen & oxycodone hydrochloride pill. The driver was arrested and charged.

On April 6, 2021 at approximately 6:44 a.m. Eastern District Officers responded for a shooting in the 400 block of Quiet Hollow Court in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival officers located a 19 year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to a lower extremity. Officers gathered information and discovered the shooting occurred in the front parking area of 294 and 296 Mountain Ridge Court in Glen Burnie where several shell casings were located. Evidence was located which led back to the 400 block of Quiet Hollow Court. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim reported the shooter was a male but was unable to provide any further description. Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6145.
