Attempt Burglary (Arrest) / Linthicum

On August 10, 2020 at approximately 4:50 a.m. officers responded for an attempted burglary at the Royal Farms located at 400 Camp Meade Road in Linthicum. A witness reported seeing the suspect attempt to break into the business. Officers located the suspect who was positively identified by the witness. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Robbery (Arrest Update)/ Pasadena

On August 2, 2020 at approximately 12:50 a.m. officers responded for a robbery at the 7-Eleven store located at 8930 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena. An unknown male suspect entered the store and held a screwdriver against the back of the store clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The Commercial Robbery Unit is investigating this incident and is asking anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.
Suspect: White male, 5’10”, thin, wearing gray baseball cap, black mask, black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, sneakers
Update: (August 6, 2020)
On August 6, 2020 at approximately 3:15 a.m. the suspect returned to the 7-Eleven store located at 8930 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena. Responding officers located the suspect walking along Hog neck Road. The suspect fled as officers approached but was quickly apprehended. The store clerk positively identified the suspect who was taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Upon further investigation detectives learned that the subject gave a false name and date of birth to patrol. This subject's correct name is Frank William Helsel DOB 9/5/1977 and he has been charged accordingly with the robbery related crimes as well as false statement.
