Carjacking - Pasadena

On August 11, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers responded for a report of a carjacking that just occurred in the 3400 block of Old Crown Road in Pasadena., The victims reported they were parked in the area of Croydon Way and Middleton Way Road when a vehicle pulled up blocking their avenue of escape. A back seat passenger exited the vehicle with a shotgun and pointed it in the direction of the victim, while the two remaining suspects remained in their vehicle. The victim got out of his vehicle, a silver Nissan Altima sedan. The suspect got into the victim’s vehicle and fled along with the vehicle that the suspects arrived in, which was described as a silver sedan with a missing front bumper. The suspects were described as black males, possibly in their early twenties, wearing all dark clothing. Western District
Shooting (Non-contact) - Laurel

On August 10, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded for a report of shots being fired in the area of Woodland Hills Way and Chase Hills Drive in Laurel. A witness advised that the suspect drove by in what they described as a gray Ford sedan and fired several shots from the driver's side of the vehicle. Officers located three spent shell casings in the middle of the road. A canvass was conducted and no property damage was located. Western District detectives are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information contact them at (410) 222-8760 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip-Line at (410) 222-4700.   

Southern District
Weapons Offense/CDS Violation - Davidsonville

On August 10, 2022, at approximately 11:00 p.m. officers responded for a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Central Avenue and Patuxent River Road in Davidsonville. When officers arrived, they located the driver of one of the involved vehicles. As officers were making contact with the driver he fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the driver was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence and in possession of approximately 668g of suspected Phencyclidine (PCP), 15g of suspected crack-cocaine, and a black semi-automatic handgun that was reported stolen in Virginia. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
