Motor Vehicle Crash (Serous Injury) - Severn

On August 13, 2024, at approximately 5:25 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at Evergreen Road and Beverly Road in Severn. The investigation revealed a 2021 Axis Offroad mini-bike was traveling northbound on Beverly Road when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at Evergreen Road. The mini-bike was struck by a 2017 Subaru Outback traveling westbound on Evergreen Road, causing the driver to be ejected from the minibike. The mini-bike driver was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. This crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

On August 13, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of damage to a 2010 Dodge Ram at Upland Road and Cedar Hill Road in Brooklyn Park. Responding officers observed damage to the vehicle’s windshield and determined it was caused by a fired projectile between August 11, 2024, and August 13, 2024.
