Northern District

Citizen Robbery / Brooklyn

On August 21, 2020 at approximately 6:15 p.m. officers responded to Doris Avenue near 4th Street in Brooklyn for a report of two citizen robberies. An adult male victim was walking near 1st Street and Alley 23, he was approached by a gray Honda Civic operated by an unknown male suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded property. The victim did not comply with the suspect’s demands and ran away from the suspect. An adult female victim was walking in the area behind the shopping center at 5007 Ritchie Highway when she was approached by the same suspect who pointed a handgun at her and demanded property. The victim turned over her purse and the suspect fled. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Eastern District

Citizen Robbery / Arnold

On August 21, 2020 at approximately 6:40 p.m. officers responded for an armed robbery of a citizen in the 1200 block of Green Holly Drive in Arnold. The male suspect approached the 17 year old victim, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled. Officers began searching the area and located the suspect in the 900 block of Marine Drive. The suspect fled but was quickly apprehended in the 1100 block of mermaid Drive. The .40 caliber handgun used in the robbery was recovered. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Eastern District

Theft From Autos (Arrest) / Pasadena

On August 24, 2020 at approximately 4:20 a.m. officers responded for a report of a suspicious subject tampering with vehicles in the area of Middleton Way and Wolsey Court in Pasadena. Officers located a suspect matching the description who was positively identified by a witness. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of multiple pieces of identification, credit cards belonging to various owners, currency and jewelry from a backpack worn by the suspect. Eastern District detectives are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a theft from auto during this incident to contact 410-222-6145.

Western District

Motor Vehicle Tampering; Stolen Auto / Severn

20-726809, 22,23,29

On August 22, 2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m. officers responded to the 7800 block of Walnut Grove Road in Severn for a report of a tampering with a motor vehicle. A black Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing Virginia registration ULU5820 occupied by three white male suspects were observed on doorbell camera footage tampering with vehicles in the area. An officer spotted the vehicle which fled. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspect. It was later determined the vehicle was stolen through Fairfax Virginia. Investigation revealed that the suspects tampered with five vehicles parked along Walnut Grove Road, Village Square Court and Rosewood Road. Western District Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information or believe they were a victim to contact 410-222-6155. 


Eastern District

Destruction of Property / Pasadena

On August 21, 2020 at approximately 6:10 p.m. officers responded for a complaint of a destruction of property at a residence located in the 8000 block of Mansion House Crossing. The homeowner noticed a bullet hole in an upstairs bedroom window and a projectile lodged in a plastic container inside a closet. This occurred between July 20, 2020 and August 20, 2020. The Eastern District detective unit is investigating this incident. No injuries or other property damage was reported. Southern District

Assault / Annapolis

20-726895

On August 22, 2020 at approximately 8:15 p.m. officers responded for a report of an assault at the Liberty Gas station located at 2042 West Street in Annapolis. An unknown male suspect was engaged in an argument with the adult male victim when the suspect retrieved a pair of bolt cutters and struck the victim in the back and torso with the bolt cutters. The suspect then fled. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Northern District

Handgun Arrest / Glen Burnie

20-726802

On August 22, 2020 at approximately 1:30 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Hyundai Sonata in the area of Hospital Drive and Oakwood Road in Glen Burnie. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer observed a bag containing suspected marijuana in the open glove compartment. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of two bags of suspected marijuana weighing approximately 13 grams, a .22 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun, two .38 caliber rounds, digital scale with suspected CDS residue, and $2,622.00 U.S. currency. Officers determined the handgun was stolen out of Alabama. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.
