Burglary/CDS Violation - Brooklyn Park

On October 4, 2021, at approximately 8:00 a.m., an officer responded to the 5200 block of Disney Avenue in Brooklyn Park for possible CDS activity. A witness reported observing an unknown male subject place a black backpack into a neighbor’s trash can and later returned to retrieve it. As the officer approached, the subject fled and was located inside a residence in the 5200 block of Wasena Avenue. The owner of the home advised that he did not know the subject and that he was not permitted to be inside the residence. The suspect, a juvenile, was taken into custody and found to be in possession of 215.74 grams of suspected marijuana. The juvenile was charged on a juvenile citation with burglary and possession of CDS-related charges and served with an unrelated arrest warrant.

On October 5, 2021, at approximately 2:40 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Chevrolet at Nursery Road and Raynor Avenue in Linthicum. The driver had an outstanding arrest warrant and was taken into custody. Upon searching the driver, the officer located two bags containing 44 individually packaged pieces of suspected crack cocaine and $5,140 in US currency. The driver was charged accordingly.
