Homicide                                                                                                                Hanover
                         
On Sunday, February 15, 2009 at approximately 12:58 a.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 7300 block of Parkway Drive South, Hanover, Maryland. Upon arrival officers encountered the victim, identified as Jason Erol Armetta, a twenty-four year old male from the 10000 block of Old Frederick Road, Ellicott City, Maryland. The victim suffered from gunshot wound(s) and was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
 
The Anne Arundel County Western District Detective Unit was primary on the shooting investigation. Investigation revealed an adult female was hosting a 19th birthday party for herself. Through interviews with witnesses a group of three unknown black males entered the party. It was at this time an argument occurred between the three males and Jason Armetta. During the argument one of the males produced a handgun and shot Mr. Armetta. Several investigative leads were developed and were met with negative results.
 
Since being shot, Mr. Armetta received medical care throughout the years for the injuries he received. On Friday, September 28, 2018, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Jason Armetta was pronounced deceased. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy was performed. The OCME ruled Mr. Armetta’s cause of death as complications from the gunshot wound(s) with the manner being homicide.
 
Due to the passage of time, homicide detectives are aware witnesses might be more likely to discuss the event than they were during the initial stages of the investigation. Relationships change; witnesses have moved and may be more comfortable with assisting law enforcement with the investigation. The Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. If people with information wish to remain anonymous they can also contact the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers.

Citizen Robbery Glen Burnie
 
On December 13, 2018 at approximately midnight, officers responded to the 7800 block of Crilley Road for a report of a robbery. The adult male victim advised he was robbed in the parking lot of the complex by an unknown male. He went on to say he believed the suspect had a weapon, but he did not see one. The suspect fled the scene taking an undisclosed amount of US Currency. No injuries were reported in this incident. A canvas was completed with negative results.
