Attempted Citizen Armed Robbery
On November 14, 2018 at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded for the report of an attempted citizen robbery outside of the Bank of America located at 2001 Davidsonville Road in Crofton. A fifty-four year old female victim was seated in her vehicle in the drive-through ATM lane when she was approached by a male suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect became startled and fled the area without obtaining any money. No one was injured in the incident. Numerous officers along with a K-9 unit and helicopter canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.
Suspect: Black male, 5’7” – 5’8” tall, thin build wearing dark clothing
Commercial Armed Robbery
Crofton
On November 14, 2018 at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers responded for the report of a robbery at the 7-Eleven store located at 2129 Defense Highway in Crofton. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect exited the store and fled in an unknown vehicle being driven by a second suspect. Numerous officer canvassed the area with the assistance of the police K9 unit and helicopter, however were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects. No injuries were reported.

1) Black male, 5’7” – 5”8”, thin build wearing dark clothing
2) White male, no further description

Crofton
On November 15, 2018 at approximately 11:06 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 2129 Defense Highway in Crofton. A male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store. Patrol and K-9 officers canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
Suspect: Black male, 20-25 years old, 5’8, medium build, wearing dark clothing

Through investigation, it was determined that the same two suspects were responsible for all three of these robberies. These suspects were both located and taken into custody on November 28, 2018 and charged as noted below. Both are currently being held without bond at Jennifer Road Detention Center.

Fatal Pedestrian Crash
Riveria Beach
On December 1, 2018 at approximately 2:03 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian struck on Fort Smallwood Road (MD-173) at Homeland Road in Riveria Beach.
An unidentified pedestrian, dressed in dark clothing, was walking against traffic in the northbound travel lane of Fort Smallwood Road when he was struck by a Volkswagen traveling northbound on Fort Smallwood Road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by fire department personnel and was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy and identification. The driver of the Volkswagen was not injured.
The preliminary cause of the crash is the pedestrian failing to yield to roadway traffic and walk on the available shoulder. There is no indication of excessive speed or alcohol use by the driver. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation and the case will be reviewed by the States Attorney.
