Shooting / Glen Burnie

On February 21, 2021, at approximately 3:10 am Northern District officers responded to the 7900 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. Upon officers arrival they located a male victim, suffering from non-fatal gunshot wound to a lower extremity. The victim stated he was driving southbound in the 7700 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard with two female passengers when an unknown assailant shot at his vehicle striking the driver and front passenger. The male victim continued driving and called 911 for assistance and pulled into a local business as emergency crews arrived to render medical aid. The female passenger suffered a minor wound as a result of the shots fired and was treated on scene. The male victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The second female passenger was not injured. Preliminary investigation revealed multiple shots were fired at the vehicle. A canvass of the area was conducted and no additional victims were located. Shots Fired / Glen Burnie

On February 19, 2021 at approximately 6:30 p.m. officers responded for reports of gunshots in the area of the unit block of Mary Lane in Glen Burnie. Witnesses reported seeing a male on a back patio with a handgun fire several gunshots into the wooded area to the rear of the residence. Witnesses were unable to provide a description of the suspect. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect or any damage as a result of this incident. Attempted Carjacking / Glen Burnie

On February 20, 2021 at approximately 9:20 pm Northern District officers responded to the 6600 block Ritchie Hwy in Glen Burnie for a report of an attempted carjacking. The victim is a driver for Door Dash who believes to have been followed from a prior delivery to the area of Heritage Hill at West Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie. While stopped at the intersection, two suspects, described as black males wearing dark clothing, approached the victim’s vehicle, implied they had a weapon, and ordered him out of the vehicle. The victim did not comply and continued towards Ritchie Highway to call 911. The suspect vehicle was believed to be a dark colored vehicle, last seen heading west on Ordnance Road. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle and suspects. CDS-Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On February 21, 2021 at approximately 9:50 p.m. a Northern District officer conducted a traffic stop of a Black Acura in the area of I-97 and Dorsey Road in Glen Burnie. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver was unlicensed and had an outstanding arrest warrant. The driver was detained. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a Smith and Wesson .32 caliber revolver, 29.18 grams of marijuana and 2.63 grams of crack Cocaine. All occupants were arrested and charged.

Tampering with Auto;Theft from Auto / Laurel
21-705631, 32, 34, 36, 41

On February 19, 2021 at approximately 08:30 am Western District officers responded to the area of Dominion South at Valley Lee South and Valley Lee South at Dameron Street South in Laurel. Upon officers arrival into the area they discovered multiple vehicles in the area were tampered with and items were reported stolen overnight. A witness reported two unknown males wearing dark clothing walking through the neighborhood at approximately 3:05-3:30 am. CDS; Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Hanover

On February 19, 2021 at approximately 4:05 p.m. a Western District officer conducted a traffic stop of a Green 2001 Lexus in the area of southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway and Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer observed the vehicle was occupied by a driver and two passengers. The officer also noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The investigation resulted in the recovery of 377 grams of suspected marijuana, $1000.00 U.S. currency and a digital scale. All three vehicle occupants were detained. One of the passengers, Clements, was found to be in possession of a loaded stolen .40 caliber Glock 27 handgun. Clements is prohibited from possessing firearms. The weapon had been previously reported stolen through Fairfax County. All three subjects were arrested and charged.
