Home Invasion; Possible Abduction (Update) / Odenton

On February 24, 2021 at approximately 10:05 p.m. officers responded for a home invasion and possible abduction at an apartment located in the 300 block of Baldwin Avenue in Odenton. The three occupants of the residence reported four unknown male suspects armed with handguns entered the apartment through a rear sliding door. The suspects ransacked the apartment and then fled. One of the victims is missing and may have been abducted by the suspects. Taken from the scene was a blue 2004 Acura TSX with Texas temporary registration 97681G3 belonging to one of the other residents. The victims described the suspects as black males wearing dark clothing. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects, the missing victim or the missing vehicle. Western District detectives along with the Missing Persons Unit are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to contact the Tip Line at 410-222-4700. Anyone coming in contact with or seeing the missing victim or vehicle is asked to call 911.

Update (February 26, 2021)

On February 26, 2021, detectives from the Missing Persons Unit were able to make contact with Mr. Owens and learned he was not taken against his will and that he had left the apartment willingly and drove off in the blue Acura TSX. Mr. Owens is home and is safe. Western District detectives continue to investigate this incident and are asking anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155. Commercial Robbery / Gambrills

On February 24, 2021 at approximately 6:05 p.m. officers responded for a commercial robbery at the Village Wine & Spirits store located at 2646 Chapel Lake Drive in Gambrills. Three unknown female suspects attempted to leave the store with merchandise. When confronted by store employees, one of the females threatened the employee with bear spray before fleeing in a white Nissan sedan toward Route 3 South. The suspects were described as black females, 20-25 years of age. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Attempted Robbery / Hanover

On February 24, 2021 at approximately 1:05 p.m. officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery of a citizen at the Holiday Inn Express located at 1781 Ridge Road in Hanover. The adult male victim was on the fourth floor of the hotel when he was approached by an unknown male suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the victim. The victim did not comply and the suspect fled. The suspect was seen driving a gray Ford Explorer. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
