Shooting (Non-Contact) - Glen Burnie

On February 3, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 7800 block of Bruton Drive in Glen Burnie for a complaint of a bullet that was shot through a wall into the apartment. Responding officers located two apartments that each had a bullet hole through their walls. The investigation led officers to another apartment where they believed the gunshot originated from, and they located a spent ammunition cartridge on the floor. The resident at that apartment denied any involvement. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment resulting in the seizure of a semi-automatic pistol. The resident was arrested and charged accordingly.

Shooting (Contact) - Pumphrey

On February 5, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Zeppelin Avenue and Gibbons Avenue for a shooting. Four individuals were walking to meet with another person on Zeppelin Avenue when they saw a black Dodge pickup truck occupied by whom they believed was the person they were to meet. As they approached, the vehicle drove away. The vehicle then stopped at an intersection, and the occupant fired one round at the group, striking a 17-year-old male in the leg. The vehicle then fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. No other injuries were reported. Eastern District

1st Degree Assault - Severna Park

On February 5, 2023, officers responded for a complaint of an unknown disturbance outside a residence in the 300 block of Riverdale Road in Severna Park. The complainant reported he was followed home by a male suspect who asked the complainant if he wanted to fight and then left in his vehicle. While the suspect was gone, the complainant retrieved a kitchen knife from his house. The suspect returned, accompanied by a second male suspect. The first suspect and complainant got into a fighting stance on the complainant’s driveway. Several of the victim’s family members exited the house and attempted to separate the combatants. The suspect punched the complainant twice in his face and then ran away. The victim and his sister, both with knives, ran after the suspect, who became injured by the knife the complainant was holding. The injury was non-life-threatening. The suspect’s accomplice exited the vehicle holding a machete, and ran toward the altercation, which caused the complainant and his sister to back off. The suspect and his accomplice got back into the vehicle and fled. Officers located all of the individuals involved. They were arrested and charged accordingly.

Indecent Exposure - Hanover

On February 4, 2023, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to level 5 of the parking garage in the 700 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover for a report of an indecent exposure. The 20-year-old female victim was in her car when she looked up through her windshield and saw a male with his penis exposed in front of her car. The male then walked away. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects. Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Tiip Line at 410-222-4700.

Western District

1st-Degree Assault - Laurel

On February 6, 2023, at approximately 3:10 a.m., officers responded for an assault at the Exxon located at 3384 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. An employee observed a male suspect take merchandise from the store and followed him outside to confront him. The suspect turned and threatened the employee with a knife. The suspect fled down Russet Green E. Responding officers located the suspect, who was in possession of a knife and store merchandise. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
