Fatal Traffic Crash - Hanover

On February 7, 2024, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Annapolis Road (Route 175) at Piedmont Lane in Hanover. The investigation would reveal that a 2015 Dodge Dart was turning left from eastbound Annapolis Road onto Piedmont Lane when it was struck by a 2020 Tesla Model X traveling westbound on Annapolis Road, causing the Dodge to overturn. Both vehicles came to rest on a grassy section adjacent to the roadway. The driver of the Dodge was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County EMS and was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The driver of the Tesla was not injured. The Anne Arundel County Police Traffic Safety Section is investigating this crash.

Citizen Robbery (Strong Arm) - Brooklyn

On February 6, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded to the Clarion Hotel located at 6921 Baltimore Annapolis Road for a theft. The victim was approached by three male suspects who asked the victim for a cigarette. The three suspects tackled the victim to the ground, took his medication and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Officers canvassed the area but could not locate the suspects. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135.
